We have been here before because of the superb location, however this visit did not inspire. We were able to get a good table but the food was the usual fare found pretty well anywhere and the portion sizes did not match the prices. All in all better could be found elsewhere.

This was our first dinner at Napua. The ambiance here is being on the beach, hearing the surf roll in and smelling the fragrance of the napua.(flowers) Unfortunately, we were seated next to a table of ten including two keikis who were loud and boisterous. Ambiance diminished. Our favorite act from Waimea, Kahala Nui was scheduled to appear. We were... More

Priced high, this restaurant does really not live up to it. We had two fish, one ribeye and pork tenderloin. Service started out alright, but went steep downhill from there. Both fish was over cooked, ribeye was very tender and tasty but had been sitting for a while and was only medium warm. Same for the mashed potatoes, cold and... More

Okay, so you're on the big island and looking for that special place for the two of you. Great food, killer view, laid-back vibe, and not a busload of tourists. Too much to ask for? Sadly, for too many places, yes. But there are a few spots here an there and if you're lucky enough to find yourself north of... More

We visited the resort for a few hours to see the shark ponds that I read about. The resort is all open and you can walk around and see turtle ponds, Koi fish pond and the shark pond. The beach is right there also. We ate lunch and it was delicious! There were 2 small hammer head sharks in the... More

but it not worth a special trip to dine here. It's fairly difficult to get here unless you are staying at the resort. You will need to park at the historic park and walk there (about 10 to 15 min). The mud pie desert is really good.

The atmosphere is wonderful - sound of the surf, swaying palm trees, breeze, tiki torches. There is no sunset view from this location but the restaurant is right on the beach. The food was good but not fantastic. The service was good.

We've eaten here multiple times for both lunch and dinner throughout the years and most recently this month for lunch. The servers are all very nice and the menu is solid - we always really enjoy the Kalua Pork Nachos and the Mud Pie. The kids love the smoothies. The views are fantastic - come early or late to get... I came here for my birthday dinner. A perfect small intimate restaurant with wonderful food. I especially enjoyed the local catch and my wife raved about the ribs. Our server Angie was a sweetheart, very knowledgeable and helped to make my birthday special. I would come back to the big island just to eat at Napau.
