It all started in a truck. I'm not sure if they still run the truck, but at least stop by the restaurant. No visit is complete without at least one order of garlic shrimp. They menu is pretty diverse, but mainly shrimp driven. You really cannot go wrong with the classic garlic shrimp, coconut shrimp or the chili shrimp. The... More

Small hole in the wall at the mall, but well worth the visit. We ordered the coconut shrimp platter and the Savage shrimp. Loved them both! Wish I would have found this place sooner, I could have eaten there every day!

Very small place, run by locals, Angel is so nice and attentive even with the dinner rush. If you like garlic then you will love the garlic shrimp, my wife enjoys coconut shrimp and she liked they were not all greasy. There is a few tables inside or your can dine right outside. We ate there twice during our 7... More

We vacationed in Kauai for 6 days and ate at Savage Shrimp twice. The food was very tasty, plentiful, and reasonably priced.

Several different preparations for the shrimp. Loved the Fire Rock plate and the Aloha tacos. Also the fish and chips (mahi mahi) was large and wonderful. Hadn't visited in a couple years and happy to report quality is still top notch. Not tablecloth but great casual restaurant!

This is pretty good but I prefer the shrimp station. The shrimp station has beer batter shrimp. The savage shrimp does not. But if you are close and can't make the station then savage is OK.

We went to the restaurant in the shopping center near Poipu..twice!! We had the garlic shrimp and the coconut shrimp. ..the first night the slaw was better than the 2nd night...and good fries. There were local musicians performing outside. ..that was a delight! ! Good food at a reasonable price.

We went to Savage Shrimp based upon a recommendation from a local dive instructor. The setting is very casual, but the food is very good and reasonably priced.

Love shrimp tacos? You can choose from at least eight flavors. Want fish and chips? You'll get a generous portion of fresh local catch. Located on the opposite end of the building from Lapperts ice cream and around the corner from Uncles Shave Ice in Kukui'ulu Shopping Village, it is worth seeking out to have a great meal.

The flavor was great and had a good spice to it. Portions were small and it was pricey. They also charge you $2 to peel your shrimp on certain items.
