Stopped here early one Saturday morning on our way out of Lihue. We shared banana bread (delicious), an apple cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting (good but extremely sweet), and a BLT sandwich. My partner is not much for breakfast, so the fact that the bakery staff made her a BLT early in the morning pleased her. It was quite... More

If your eyes are bigger than your stomach, no worries, you can take the leftovers to go! We tried the cinnamon roll, Portuguese sausage roll, banana bread, energy bars, cherry roll, and even a Spam roll! Everything was fantastic but I would have to say my faves were the cinnamon roll and energy bars. Get there early so you have... More

If you are loofking for something to eat that is a local favorite... this is it. No seating so you buy to go. However, the pastries are just delightful. I especially like the coconut turnovers....they also have crab or ham rolls that are also kind of " moorish" ( you want to eat more....) If you want a traditional local... More

We stopped here to pick up a quick breakfast on our way to Waimea Canyon from Lihue. Nice, friendly service. We tried their crab roll (not a lot of crab but good), malasadas (good!), tea cookies (so yummy!), and their energy brownie bar (good!). Definitely glad we came here. Saw it again on the way back from snorkeling at Poipu... More

What can you say! It's a small family-operated bakery, and their stuff is really good. I tried several different things, not as many as I wanted but more than I should have, and all winners. Their Hawaiian breakfasts looked good, but way too much for me. That's what I'll try next time.

Sad we missed the wonderful Malasadas we had last time we were here but very happy with the Apple and coconut turnovers. Yum. They offered to put malasadas away for us if we called ahead.

Hanalima Baking in Puhi. I’d remembered seeing the building, but always thought is was not open to the public – Boy was I wrong. They’re open 6:am to 2:00 pm (1:30pm on Sat, closed Sun.). Large selection of baked goods and a grill. Spent $17.00 and ended up with: Crab roll - $2.00 – not much crab, but very good... More
