Kojima's Sushi Bar is in a small strip mall in the heart of Pukalani, near the bank and not far from Pukalani Superette. It's a small, cozy family run restaurant with a pleasant lanai in back. Kojima's does a huge carry out as well. The sushi chefs prepare everything in full view of the patrons and it's fun to watch... More

We stopped for lunch on our way down the mountain after visiting the Maui winery. It's a BYOB so buy a bottle of wine a the winery (red since they don't provide ice buckets and the winery doesn't sell cold wine) and enjoy it with excellent sushi and sashimi!

The food's reasonably good, the service a little slow and the prices are higher than for similar fare elsewhere. However, it is pretty and if you are staying nearby, there's no reason to avoid it. We were surprised at how high the standard of Japanese restaurants was throughout Hawaii. Anywhere else (well, apart from Japan) this would have got a... More

It's refreshing to see a sushi bar run by Japanese people, so often they're not. It's good sushi, not outstanding, but I guess there's only so much you can get hold of in Maui. Traditional enough and fast service! Sushi dinner for two came to 135$ plus tip.

Have been going to Kojima's since they opened. Though a bit pricy, the food has almost always covered up the issues of service, which has been spotty with a lot of turn over. The serving portions and mixture have varied over the years, depending on who was helping Kojima behind the counter, but have always been good. Before the spider... More

We just finished the sunset viewing at Haleakala Summit and needed to find a quick dinner before heading back to the condo. We found this nice little sushi place for a quick bite. We ordered the tempura udon and the chicken katsu. The tempura udon included 2 shrimp tempura and assorted vegetables. The udon was nice and springy (not soggy)... More
