One of the two restaurants worth eating at. Very good food, you can get vegetables, and a nice view. Nice friendly staff.

We had a party of 12 with 2 young kids. We had a 6:30 reservation, inside the restaurant was dead, outside on the patio was somewhat busy. We had two servers who I swear were stoned. It took forever (and not typical Hawaii forever, when you are in Hawaii, the service is at a moderate pace, which is fine). We... More

Spent 3 nights at the resort but did not dine here until the last evening. Unfortunate for us since we would have visited for a second time. You can not find a better spot to dine and watch a beautiful sunset on the North Shore. We will be back at Turtle Bay again next year and will visit this place... More

Just walking into Pa'akai is an expirence as you walk through as long lava rock lined hallway that has beautiful art work on both sides and water features throughout the hallway. The dining room is beautiful and looks out over the Pacific Ocean. We got there just as the sun was going down and it was breath taking. The service... More

Our service was very poor. The food was good. But, we ordered their special whole fish, which we were told was Opakapaka and we recieved Onaga. Close, but different. And, our server was very flip about the fact it was a different fish. Way over priced for the lack of professionalism. We would not go back.

We had the most amazing server the night we were there! He made sure our beverages stayed full without being too attentive. Our dinner that night we shared was the whole fresh caught fish of the day, it was enough for the both of us to share. And the culmination of the evening was the beautiful sunset we caught from... Very quiet place but great food and good service. We celebrated our son's and daughter in laws anniversary here with dinner. We nice ambience (if weather is nice ask to sit outside, it was raining off and on when we went so we choose the inside). The waitress really knew the menu and all the fish. She could explain any... Our last dinner of our honeymoon was here. Surf and turf was great as was the wine. Service was friendly and quick. We dressed nice as we always do for nice restaurants but people were in tee shirts and shorts with flip flops. I guess its the Hawaii style so it is acceptable but this is definitely the most upscale... More

There aren't a whole lot of choices for a nice dinner up on North Shore. We were happy with our selection of Pa'akai. Though we started with a cocktail mishap (tonic tap went bad), the bartender was apologetic and replaced drink on the house. The food was very good. Sweet potatoes were the best!
