We arrived at 5:00 and we're seated promptly. Friendly staff, excellent food. Appetizers, salads and main courses all served in appropriate amount of time.

While we were staying at Lanikai a local resident suggested Assagio. It was a great recommendation. My wife had a seafood dish and I had a vegetarian pasta (I'm not a vegetarian by the way). Both were excellent. This is a very nice restaurant inside but it is located in a mixed office/commercial area of Kailua so it needs local... More
an excellent italian restaurant and always a few very good, to excellent, specials. veal is excllent, chicken parm is excellent and plenty.
We had not dined there in several years and we were delighted to find the same high level of service and excellent food. The portions were generous, and the food was perfectly prepared and delicious.
The interior has been freshened and updated. While understand vinyl seats for durability and cleaning reasons, not so nice for guests wearing shorts or skirts. Family of 7. Everyone loved their meal. Great service very quick and friendly. The atmosphere was nice as well. Just loved the experience overall.

This was our last family dinner with 8 people of our vacation. I felt my chicken piccata was rather hard on the outside and dried out on the inside. Others seemed pleased with their meals. It took a while for our salads - made table side - to even get started, so meal pacing was no very cohesive. The bread... More
Visiting friends who are regulars at Assaggio and thought we'd enjoy it as well....and yes, we did! Had an excellent chicken Marsala. Husband indulged in his fav puttanesca. Reasonable wine prices, and the Barbera was very good. Thursday night and the place was packed. Make a reservation. They offer two sizes of mains, but the small was pretty large. A... More
