Went before our hike in the area. Not a touristy spot, mostly locals. A great local diner feel and food was good. Portions were great.

If you want to mingle with the locals, this is definitely the place to go. It is an unassuming restaurant in a small, unassuming strip mall. Having arrived at our condo late at night and being unfamiliar with the area, we headed to Hannara for breakfast after reading the favourable reviews on TA. Both my husband and I opted for... More

In the absence of really good, quality restaurant in Waianae, Hannara is not bad. The food are good and the prices are commensurate to the quality of the food.

This has become a favorite of ours over the years because of the people. We were your typical visiting haole family, but they treated us like lost family members. After ordering from their extensive menu Tita, our waitress let us in on all the local best spots to see. The food came out quickly and was very good. We visit... More

We stopped twice for breakfast! Really quick and friendly service even though they were really busy! Big portions! We had banana Mac nut pancakes one morning and the Hannara special fried rice omellet another morning. My husband and I shared both breakfasts and we were both full. Bottomless cup of coffee. Really enjoyed our breakfasts.

We stopped here for dinner. I had the ahi and my wife had the stew. Our server was very friendly and chatted away with us. Spotting we weren't your typical sized locals, she arranged a smaller portion for my wife! She really enjoyed her stew, healthy chunks of meat, potato and carrot. I was disappointed in my ahi. I prefer... More

If you want local food, great portions at a very fair price this is a must place to try while visiting Waianae. If you love POI and Lomi Lomi you will love theirs. My husband is part Hawaiian, a "happa haole" and he knows his POI. I had the hamburger steak and it was yummy. I'm looking forward to going... More

... the local and Korean food is really good. No doubt this is the place to make a stop to (re)gain your energy when on your way to or back from Yokohama Beach or Ka'ena Point. The portions are copious and the service is friendly and quick. Try the Korean Hannara Special or the Bi-bim-bop. The burger is... Well, a... More
