After year's of enjoying the food at Tommy's Joynt, we were sad to visit the restaurant yesterday afternoon. Food was cold, meats were left on steam table too long. We understand ownership of the restaurant changed a short while ago and the new owner is unable to maintain the same level of food quality the prior owner kept. Too bad.... More

Had lunch today with old classmate. First time at this place in a long long time I ejoyed a fresh carved turkey sandwich with a beer. I really liked the food and ambiance. I highly recommend it.

Went here as result of reviews on TripAdvisor. However wasn't amazed, I never went back. Went for a drink at the Bar, however the smell from food bar can be a bit off putting. Service was unusual as I'm sure barman is slightly deaf she. Ordering. However it sold good range of beer so enjoyed drink. Stayed for one. Won't... More

We were in San Francisco to get some paperwork done. Looking for a bite to eat near the Queen Anne Hotel we came across Tommy's Joint. It is more or less a barbeque place. The meats were good and the sides were okay. Got plenty of food for a very low end price in San Francisco. Not too far from... More

Wen't here after reading about it as a great cheap meal in San Francisco. I didn't find the meal cheap, or good. The food quality was basically no different than what you would get at a cheap buffet restaurant. I ordered the roast beef platter and the buffalo chili. It was all pretty bland and disappointing.

I had the BBQ Brisket Platter ($13.50) with mashed potatoes & gravy, baked beans and bread with butter. The brisket was awesome. It melts in your mouth. The beans were great. Will definitely return every time I visit San Francisco.

I've heard a lot of good things about Tommys Joint, so I decided that I can not miss the opportunity to know the place and try the famous corned beef sandwich. If you like to try "non touristic" places and love to experience real things, this is a place ou should consider. All the memorabilia in the walls (including famous... More
