I had dinner here with a friend during a recent visit. We didn't have dinner reservations but they were able to "fit us in." Unfortunately, the table where we were seated was in the bar area, next to a pole. We spent our meal surrounded...More

Went here for brunch with my girlfriend and some friends; the brunch options were plentiful and culinarily fine and we had a great time. We would go back.

I have been to Absinthe a few times, and I always have a wonderful time. The staff are really lovely and considerate, making me feel welcome and spoiled. I adore the food, especially the humble fried chickpeas. But the glory of this place is the...More

I was in San Francisco for the weekend visiting some friends and I had always wanted to go here. I had previously purchased their cocktail book and always said that the next time I find myself in the city, I am going to find myself...More

Party of six had a very fun Saturday evening, got a cosy round table in the window and enjoyed great cocktails, efficient and friendly service and very tasty food all round. Really couldn't fault anything at all and would recommend this place without hesitation.

Absinthe is a very class restaurant with a nice selection of wines. The service was excellent. I would give the food 4.5 stars, and the dessert 5 stars. The chocolate pot de creme was really good! The only draw back is that this place is...More

This was one of the worst meals I've had in San Francisco. Granted, SF has a high average level of food quality, so it wasn't a terrible meal, but it wasn't even good. I went to brunch with 2 friends. I had the pancakes and...More

Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky
shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to
imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of
a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation
of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a
community park at its center and dozens of trendy
businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish
respite.

nope they are not! They're a medium/high end bar/restaurant with an extensive drinks/wine list, some reasonable wine prices and others off the freakin' chart expensive!!
