The Asian cuisine is executed well with a modern flair. My visit at lunch time found the restaurant nearly empty, however, it permitted very attentive service from the staff, which made for a nice treat. The restaurant is a modern Asian decor that delivers a tranquil atmosphere. The location is on the upper level of the entry hallway can be... More

I love Anzu at Nikko Hotel in San Francisco. I don't usually eat at hotel restaurants because I usually find them overpriced and underwhelming. However, Anzu at Hotel Nikko is very different. They serve fusion Japanese cuisine and everything is super fresh and the buffets are very good value for the price. They have regular breakfast buffets for hotel guests... More

I love this restaurant, inside the Nikko Hotel, for their amazing breakfast buffet. In addition to traditional American options, they also offer a full range of Japanese options. There are literally dozens of choices and everything is very well prepared. Service is top notch.

The buffet breakfast was awesome. For the price you had a fantastic variety of foods to choose. The pancakes were the best we have had at any restaurant. We were not as familiar with the Japanese items that were there for breakfast, so did not try any of those. Bacon was extra crisp and not overly greasy which was a... More

Smartly decorated, inventive menu and a very nice environment. The $42 prefix referred to as the "tasting menu" is an excellent value with 3 courses. The food was tasty and most in our group enjoyed the 5 spice chicken entree. One of the best examples of fusion is being able to enjoy sushi and tomato basil soup at the same... More

The room is contemporary, and nicely decorated, however the banquet seating is awkward, so opt for a table with chairs. We felt, mistakenly, that a Japanese hotel would serve some tasty Sushi; the menu sounded wonderful, but the food was disappointing. Our "fusion" appetizers were the best part of our meal. My rolls were dry and nearly tasteless, so I... More

They have some great cocktails. The food is pretty good (slightly expensive) but otherwise, good ambience and good food. Food at one point came really slowly but they made up for it with a free dessert! Good service!

A hidden gem. Located on the second level beyond the lobby of the Nikko Hotel the Anzu has both American and Japanese creations. Most impressive is their breakfast buffet. Great for business meetings, families or couples. Enjoy.

When staying at the Nikko hotel I went for diner at ANZU. Being alone, I wanted to read somewhat between the courses, and they really honoured my request. Started with a nice soup, followed with a steak. The desert topped the diner, together with an Irish coffee. I really enjoyed the evening.
