There will always be a line up but it is worth it. The croissants are so fresh and flaky. The over faced sandwich was flavourful. I definitely would recommend this place to tourists.

Each time I go to visit my mom in San Francisco Tartines is my first stop. The baked pastries, quiche, cookies, pies, breads, cakes etc. All receive a 5 star rating every time! No worries if there is a line, and there will be, Tartines does not disappoint!!

The line is out the door and there's just to much to choose from, but you definitely need to wait. I had the bread pudding and it was sensational. We all enjoyed everything so much. The coffee was great too.

a very charming bakery with just too many things on offer as I can never decide what to take! A simple croissant is baked to crispy perfection and the coffee is on point as well.

Tartine was a quite nice place experience. Resto located in a bakery . High ceilings and a pretty young crowd. Perfect for a foodie experience. Pulpo very good however we did not like the dish with beans. beef was fab. of course all course served with the really fab bread the restaurants bakery. Very good and decent wine list.

Visited SF in Feb, and many of my friends have recommended to go by Tartine and try their bakery. My friend bakes wonderful bread at home and she says she got the recipes from their cookbook; so I was intrigued. Took an Uber to get there from Union Square and it was like a 10 mins drive. When we got... More

Went to this bakery based on the reviews. Maybe on this day, the manager never showed up. We ordered 3 items, almond croissant, the special, kale something quiche and a cheese croissant. All were burnt. The quiche had been reheated and thats fine, but it was burnt. No oversight on items being served. The almond croissant was tasty so the... More

So the tables are tight, the line is long and the cafe is a little out of the way. Too bad because I walked over half an hour to get there for a late lunch and had a croque monsieur (vegetarian) and croissants. Interrogated the couple next door about the hot bread pudding - that's why they go there and... More
