The appetizer and entrees were okay, not good. Some of our food was undercooked and not prepared properly. Example, scallops had sand in them still, calamari was chewy. Service was mediocre. Location was great. Too high price for quality of dinner.

Ok, the food was good, but not great. The waitstaff have been working there for years. Their white waiter coats needed replacing. Our server was grumpy and short with the other tables around us as they dared to ask questions. I get it, tourists are annoying, but that is your business. Food came quickly and as I said was well... Although a bit pricey (expected for fishermans wharf) the food was DYNAMITE! Great service also. I've been tasting New England style clam chowder from Maine to south Florida and yesterday in San Francisco: this was real good. Still; the best so far is Molly Goodheads in Ozona Florida on the gulf side.

We arrived on a Sunday morning right at opening at 11:00 am. We did not have a reservation but were seated immediately and were given a table right by the window. Our waitress, Kathleen, was a hoot and we enjoyed her service very much. She did a wonderful job. There were four of us. My husband and I ordered the... More

This is a lovely restaurant. It is busy and any booking needs to be in advance. They do accept walkins but that may mean you have a wait. The food is superb, fresh nicely presented and well cooked. Good helpings! Spotlessly clean, and very pleasant staff.

We happened across this place at Fisherman's Wharf and we were really hungry. It was super busy but we decided to wait the hour to eat there. We snagged a couple seats at the bar and had a glass of wine ( Galvan Family Zinfandel) and it was very much worth the wait because the food was amazing and the... More

Well I did good today. I finally took my wife to Scoma's in San Francisco on the wharf. Well worth the trip and my wife and really loved it. The food I heard was top notch and I heard right. We had the sampler for two with crab cakes, scallops, and calamari. Very good start. My wife ordered a beet... More

Scoma's has been a favorite stop for me for the past 10 years. It doesn't have that tourist only feel that the other restaurants at the wharf have. Family owned, great service, huge selection of fresh crab and seafood. Great selection of wine. Fantastic vibe from everyone enjoying their experience there!
