Our family of five enjoyed dinner (steaks and scallops done to perfection); Drinks and appetizers were fun while watching football; and morning brunch and menu items hit the spot. Thanks!

We ate breakfast here in connection with a stay at the hotel. The order was pretty standard, eggs, bacon, etc. It was all well cooked, fresh and delicious. The price was not inexpensive, but given the setting and the attentive service it seemed quite reasonable.

For my daughter's 10th Birthday, I made reservations for Holiday High Tea. Due to the large party (12 of us total - 5 kids and 7 adults) I had to sign a contract and put my credit card down for the reservation. The Fairmont was done up wonderfully for Christmas. The tree in the middle of the lobby was gorgeous.... More

The buffet at the Fairmont is worth the $36 per person. Two Eggs Benedict, 2 sausages, 5 bacon, fresh raspberries/blue berries and black berries and 2 sticky rolls loaded with pecans was my breakfast and fresh OJ. The only problem is they didn't have the seating capacity for the holiday rush. They needed more waiters to clear off the empty... More

We just spent Christmas at the Fairmont in Sonoma and continued on our holiday to the Fairmont in SF. When we asked the concierge about reservations for Laurel Court, she said they were completely booked for last evening ( Dec 28,2016), but that she may be able to work some magic to get us a table for two. I wish... More

We ate at the breakfast buffet because we stayed there. The food was excellent and the buffet had a great variety of food from fruits, cheeses, pastures, breads, eggs, omelets made to order, pancakes / french toast, eggs benedict, potatoes and breakfast meats.

Christmas day dinner and I was so looking forward to it. I rarely post to trip advisor but so disappointed feel I need to. We arrived and were shown to our table through the masses of tourists in the lobby. We sat at our table and were then ignored for 20mins... No menu, not even an offer of a drink... More

The service was slow, the food was bland, the food was cold. I eat at a lot of hotel restaurants and found this to be well below the others. For what you're paying, you'd expect a lot more than just a snazzy menu presented in an iPad.

I'd rate Laurel Court Restaurant as our favorite breakfast brunch. The atmosphere is great (hey - it's the Fairmont) and the food is even better. Omelet station, incredible pecan sweet sticky buns, eggs Benedict and scrambled, the other stuff (potatoes, bacon, sausages, ete, etc.)...and an incredible selection of fruit, breads, smoothies, smoked salmon, cereal, wow! Just one word - yum!

We were guests at The Fairmont, and were disappointed by the Laurel Court Restaurant and Bar. On our first night, we invited a friend over for drinks, only to be treated poorly. The host area is undefined, so we sat at a table only to be given dirty looks by the waiter. I asked for a menu, which I received,... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
