Very good quality food and cocktails. Friendly staff. Fair prices for quality and location. Good for breakfast, lunch bar food and cocktails.

Had a Pleasant lunch here. The food was better than average but not expensive either, compared to other restaurants in this area. The wait staff is efficient and fairly well trained. The Menu was well rounded with many different fairs to choose from but not overly loaded with too many choices. If you are staying in the hotel a perfect... More

We stepped in around 11 am to have the breakfast while waiting for the room to get ready. A staggering $35 usd per head. The food was good and they gave you all the coffee and juice you could drink. An expensive but good option if you just want easy.

Maybe I was jaded since I had just dined at Michael Jordan's restaurant in Chicago or because I expect good service and food when I am paying prices I cannot really afford, but this place was way less than stellar when it came to service and food. Ordered a greens salad that was overdone on dressing. Ordered a filet mignon... More

the fairmont is such a classic, ornate hotel. their tea service was exactly what you'd expect at that type of place. if you're staying at the fairmont you have to try this once!

My husband and I booked a table in advance to enjoy High Tea on the occasion of our anniversary. The manner in which tea is served leaves much to be desired -- constant refilling with hot water a tiny tea pot, rather than a regular sized one, nonfat milk to add. Our tray of delectables didn't arrive until 45 minutes... More

…that a sentient human-being runs this restaurant – not in person, as none were evident on Saturday night last, nor in spirit because it was so clearly badly managed – it is hard to put ones finger on just what has gone wrong. It only needs one example of lack of management to show that mistakes can be costly to... More

I live in this neighborhood & don't dine here as we've far too many better restaurants BUT I love meeting at 3 or 4pm for a glass of french bubbly or good wine in this amazing setting. It's like San Francisco's original splendor at the turn of another Century and it's really not to be missed. Service can be slow... More

We stopped by to grab a burger and beer one night and it was seriously painful trying to order. We had to wait and when the waiter finally came he looked like he would rather be doing anything else than serving us. The food was decent...nothing special but really it's just a burger so not expecting a lot. However- I... More

The restaurant itself is beautiful but service and food are thoroughly disappointing. Six of us dined on a Sunday evening and the place was about 60% capacity. It was obvious that they were severely understaffed as the waitstaff and others were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. As a result, customer service suffered and was basically non-existent.... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
