While portions are on the small side the food is wonderful. Service is excellent, Tea leaf salad, Mandalay noodles, salt and pepper shrimp and much more. Excellent selection of specialty teas. It is only one block from Clement where other Burma restaurants are but this is the best

An off-beat restaurant (away from the centre / no-frills), the accent here is squarely on the cuisine and the service. Delectable Burmese food & warm, prompt service.

I've eaten here many times over the last several years, the food has consistently been very good to excellent. I especially enjoy the tea leaf salad and their version of Singapore Rice noodles, but everything I've had has been good. The reason for this mediocre review, then, is the VERY annoying service received on our last visit, where 3 different... More

Occasionally in my travels I run into a restaurant that makes me consider if it might actually be worth moving to the city it’s in so I could go there regularly. There are currently 3 restaurants on Mr. Snoots Short List of Restaurants That Might Be Worth Rearranging Your Life For and Mandalay is one of them. I look forward... More

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. The food we ordered was yummy. The place is very crowded on a Friday evening. We were seated in 10-15 mins, even though we were told the wait was 35 mins. The food was delicious. Our server was quick, nice and we were given special consideration since my kid has... More

We eat here frequently and have for many years. The food is absolutely delicious. The mandalay noodles, the mandalay chicken, the tea salad, the soups, the green beans - I could go on and on. The service is excellent. We have brought family from out of the country here, and they have felt it was the best meal they had... More

While we are familiar with many Asian cuisines, this was our first Burmese experience. The room has a nice decor and the servers are attentive. However, we just felt that the food was not as tasty we'd hoped. In all fairness, maybe their food is wonderful for Burmese cooking and we just didn't find it exciting. Most dishes seemed bland... Went here with friends who lived in the Richmond for many years. I don't really understand what Burmese cuisine is, but I can tell you that everything we ate - on our initial visit and then a followup - was insanely good. You'll have to slow yourself down so you don't bolt your food! The folks are super friendly and... More

We come here at least once a month. The owners remember what we like ,the tea leaf salad is the best, also the samosas are delicious, crispy chicken, rainbow salad all are flavorful, and pretty. Rarely have we disliked anything.

The food is always great and there is a wide variety to choose from. The staff is always pleasant and attentive and the owner even remembers the dishes you enjoy. Try the Jasmine Tea and watch it bloom.
