Wonderful view at the Bistro. Expensive and limited menu. It was okay, just okay. The food was nothing special. I do recommend the Ceasar Salad with Salmon.

We celebrated at Cliff House my husband's one year of not smoking. He asked to have dinner at Cliff House. We made an early reservation and had a fabulous table by the window to watch the Pacific and the beach. I started with the Cauliflower Soup, which was very good. DH shared it with me. We were served warm rolls,... More

Good food, but the price reflects the location, and unless you get a table with a good view, there are probably better ways to spend your money. However, if you can snag a table in the dining room, the good food attentive service and breathtaking views are worth the $40-50/person cost

A mediocre place with a great view. We (a 50 year old man and two 17 year old boys) were dressed casually but nicely. We were some of the better looking patrons. We were treated like trash upon entry. Repeatedly asked to sit in cafe instead of restaurant if we werent going to order food. We were there to eat.... More

Really nice place with good service, we all enjoyed our food there but wished we had had a better table to enjoy the veiw since the day was clear with no fog as is often there I am told. But I highly recommend you stop by there, good table or not, the food is excellent and they are very welcoming.... More

My husband and I stopped here, but they were in between lunch and dinner service. They still offer some appetizers, soups, and drinks during this time. We ordered the calamari and a bowl of the clam chowder. The calamari was fresh and was very tasty. The real star was the clam chowder! Possibly the best chowder in the city, and... More

We arrived about 2pm on a gorgeous Wednesday and were surprised to get a booth right away (not next to a window, but still a nice view). The food was good and considering the portion size the price was OK (we shared clam chowder and the fish & chips and it was more than enough). When we were walking in... More

I am a native San Franciscan, raised in the Richmond district, and when I visit the city the Cliff House is a good place to a) get some Dungeness crab, b) have a view of the beach, and c) visit a historic structure, one I rode my bike past many times as a kid. I had Crab Louis, others in... More

This place is pricey, but worth it. The food was absolutely delicious, and the view was stunning. Walk over to the Sutro Baths next door.
