We had cheesesteaks. Nice sandwiches, affordable prices, but not a good place do eat in. Very few seats. Best to take away.

Hubby and I usually come here on a friday afternoon for our burger and tater tot fix with chili and cheese (on the side). Burgers are alway cook the same, its not like cooked perfectly one time and the next is over cooked or under cooked. Very consistent and we love it that way. We ALWAYS order the tater tots... More

Great place for burgers and cheesesteaks in my neighborhood. The Metro Cheesesteak is wonderful. Right balanace of spicey and mild peppers, lots of cheese and loaded with meat. Very reasonable prices. Oh, and you can get tatter tots (I'm not fan but they sell llike crazy!).

We went to Metro Caffe hoping for a good meal and some tater tots. Nope! Four of us walked into a tiny restaurant. The place was empty. The man behind the counter did not look up, did not greet us, did not stop whatever it was he was doing. After standing there for a few minutes, we walked out. He... More

Staying in Haight-Ashbury

Neighbourhood Profile
The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops. While the Summer of Love ended decades ago, Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through its streets can still feel like stepping back in time. A must-see neighbourhood for most music fans, it’s easy to see why these streets attracted the likes of the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin. You’ll likely be content in The Haight day or night, just be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
