We arrived with only half our party because family members flights were delayed. They seated us anyway and we ordered wine and apps. The rest of our party arrived before the wine arrived and the staff was gracious and helpful. Ordered more wine and spent the next three hours having an amazing meal with calamari and bruschetta to start and... More

Great personal and professional service. Most delicious Linguine Vongole in SF. Wonderful thin crust pizza Margherita make this a must visit Italian restaurant in Cow Hollow.

Arriving ragged from a 12 hour flight this was just the ticket. Cosy atmosphere, attentive service and a proper selection of well made Italian dishes. The wine list contains some very nice wines to boot. Recommended.

Really enjoyed the small neighborhood feel of this authentic Italian pizzeria and trattoria. Food was excellent and pizza was also special coming from wood fired pizza oven. Service was nothing to write home about but not a big distraction. Would go again.

Porcini lasagna and papparedella with prociuto, both very tasty. Good cannoli. Very attentive and caring service. Management also very attentive and involved with making a great dining experience. One can even get a whole roast pig here, as a nearby large party of diners did the night I dined here. This restaurant truly seems to have customer satisfaction as its... More

Since I travel to Italy for about a month each year. I am very familiar with Italian cuisine from many parts of the country. This restaurant reproduces none of them. The cioppino I had was ruined by a sauce excessively tasting of lemon and onions which completely overshadowed the taste of the fish/shellfish ingredients. The fish was extremely dried out... More

The high point was the service. Fastest table set up I have ever seen, especially in a very busy restaurant. However the calamari was as tasteless as you could make it, my vongole were of equal quality although on a bed of perfectly cooked pasta. I did work in Italy for a year so I think I know proper Italian... More

We went to celebrate our 20 year old daughters birthday and found it so nice that we went there the day after to celebrate my wife´s 43rd birthday the day after. Nice and authentic Italian food, engaged staff and a varm atmosphere. We´re definetely going back when we go back to San Fransisco.

We tried Pane for the first time and had the margherita pizza and paillard of chicken. All dishes were fantastic. There was so much food we had no room for desert. Next time. Restaurant was packed. Always a very good sign.

Came in for a relaxing 5 course dinner which began with complimentary Bruschetto Con Pomodoro, followed by Bresaola Con Rugula salad, Pappardelle Alla Contadina (pasta with tomato based cream sauce over porcini mushrooms and pasta), and then lovely Osso Bucca di Vitella ...desert was liquid pleasure finishing off a nice Barbaresco....great service by all concerned....

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
