Hands down the best bar we visited on our 1 week trip to San Francisco. The owner was very welcoming and polite and made us feel at home. We kept retuning numerous times and was always well looked after. Recommend 👍

Sit at the bar, have a PBR and a Bourbon and make new friends. Not the biggest bar, but a fun, dim lit, engaging drinking establishment. Engaging, colourful, eclectic locals. A perfect stop on a bar hopping night. Go to Sam's Burgers just up the street after your shift here! Damn good!

One of the greatest dive bars in the world. Truly special. Allegedly about to be eaten up by the gentrification of San Fran Save Mr. Bings

Nice place with few draft beer selection, but the price is good. The ambiance is nice, even during the day!

Just a local dive bar. Felt like we stepped back in time. Definitely not the usual trendy sf bar. If you like an old school, dingy dive bar make sure to stop here before it changes hands.

Mr. Bing's is closing! If you are reading this in August/September and planning to see the REAL bars of San Francisco, Mr. Bing's is a must. There are no frills, no "in" cocktails or fancy bar snacks. There is the joy of having a drink in an old institution, though. And a good play list on the box.

I know that Mr. Bing's is much beloved, and that recent rumors of its closing sent shock waves through our community, etc. I walked by here many a time when I lived in North Beach; my wife and I finally had the chance to meet for cocktails prior to pizza at Cinecitta. Now I like a good dive bar, and... More

We came here as a refuge on an unseasonably hot day. The owner served us cheap beer and lots of water while we all watched Predator on the TV. It was such a nice (and unexpected) way to spend the afternoon. Gradually, a few more locals popped in to enjoy a beer and watch with us. The owner is happy... More

We stumbled across this bar and popped in for a drink a sit down and ended up closing the place down. The bartenders were awesome... drunker then us but that was entertaining. I guess that's the norm here? A lot of people wander in and out, so there are always people to chat up and watch during the night. Cheap... More

On the corner, near North Beach and Jackson Square District, there is a small bar in the shape of a horseshoe inside. We stopped in a for a drink before Tosca's opened. It was a kick! Order an old fashioned drink, talk to the bartender, and odd array of customers. The bartender gave me a fortune cookie and told stories.... More
