It is a really good coffee shop. I like it better than Starbuck's but this location has virtually no parking other than paying for a pricey deck. For this reason alone I would consider other area coffee options.

We went there as recommended by local SF friends and bought cappuccino. My hubby had a sip and threw it away immediately he said it taste very bad. I tried mine and also felt the same way. Perhaps the coffee is too hot and the portion of foam/milk/espresso is not proportion. Or I guess it is not the style that... More

I've been a Peetnik for years and look for Peets wherever I travel. I love the deep dark roast coffee. The people who work in this store were professional but particularly compassionate to some homeless individuals. I admired how they handled some tricky situations treating everyone with respect. The store was spotlessly clean and had lots of holiday cheer.

Great coffee like always, while visiting San Francisco. Get out of your routine coffee places. Enjoy a cup or two from the past.

We came here because the Starbucks close by was so slow. While I don't like the coffee quite as much, it's just fine and no lines.

They often have a line but the line moves quickly. The coffee and green tea are wonderful. The iced green tea is so yummy and refreshing.

Actually made it to 3 different locatons during the stay (including the United terminal at the airport) and all were excellent and tasteful. One was actually run in conneciton wtih a Capital One Bank and was an interesting blend of bank and coffee. Better than Starbucks in my opinion and my wife who has not drunk coffee for 5 years... I live and walk through SOMA to get to work in the Financial district. I wake-up fresh and enjoy the walk through the less crowded deep-SOMA streets until I am forced to work my way up to Market Street and deal with massive human influx situations. As with Socrates and Heidegger and their walks, this walk allows me to build... More

Three coffees and a banana nut muffin for under $10! This peninsula shop close to 101 gave us all a smile with their quick, friendly service and wonderful coffee.

I have been going to Peets for 20 years and have been regularly satisfied over those 20 years. It doesn't matter which one I go to now. Emeryville, Downtown Oakland, Berkeley on Shattuck. The San Francisco Locations. Peets performance is disappointing. Here's the back story. I've been buying Arabian Mocha Java beans ground #5 a half pound at a time.... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
