I don't think I've eaten a worse cupcake :(. The ones I make at home via Duncan Hines much better. Give it a miss and head for the markets.

On a recent trip to San Francisco, we decided to stop for dessert following a wonderful meal. We stopped at Cako in Union Square which was fairly close to our hotel, The Grand Hyatt. Since it was after 8 pm, the selection was not all that large but we only wanted one cupcake each so it was fine. I ordered... More

I just happened to stumble upon this tiny bakery while walking back to my hotel during my stay downtown. The cupcake I tried was tiramisu and it was AMAZING! The cupcake itself was moist and the frosting ontop was not overbearing. I went back a couple nights later and tried the Snickers cupcake. It too was so good! A little... More

Was pleasantly surprised to find this little place in the Japan Center. Nothing fancy and only places to sit and eat outside in the mall, Cako is a great place to get your cupcake fix. Cake was good, not dry and full of flavor. Icing was too and not too much on top. Just right. If you are close by,... More

We just happened to walk by and couldn't resist. They had some very interesting flavors for their macaroons and cupcakes. I tried the white peach macaroon and my mother tried the maple bacon cupcake. It was all really good! I wasn't sure about the maple bacon one, but it just tasted like waffles with syrup and candied bacon pieces on... More

Being from out of town and in San Francisco the first time, I happen to stumble across a Cako's in Westfield. I wasn't sure what to make of them as I hadn't read anything about them prior to going to the stop, but after looking at the seemingly "yummy" selections they had, I decided to try the Cinnamon Donut Muffin.... I stopped by the Westfield location after work to pick up some cupcakes for visiting a friend. There were two girls working and I asked how much it was for a half dozen vs. a dozen. I was quoted a price by one girl and when it appeared that I was in thought over how many to buy, the other... More

Went of an afterdinner snack. I had a s'mores cupcake, it was very chocolately and the marshmallow topping nearly fell off after one bite. I was looking for the graham crackers but there were none. The flavor was good and the price was reasonable. Godd place for your sugar fix.

A fellow tourist told me not to miss going to this little bakery. Am glad I went! Be aware that it is a bakery, not a restaurant, so you have to eat your treats elsewhere. Bought a half dozen to share with my family back at the hotel. We made tea and had a -sampling. The cakes were moist and... More
