This is definitely one of the top ice cream places in SF - not sure if it beats Mr & Mrs Miscellaneous - but it is without doubt excellent ice cream. The queue can be long, so if you ever go past when there isn't a line, make the effort to visit. Very good salted caramel ice cream and some... More

Gourmet market with wonderful and unusual items and nice service people! I couldn't understand why there was always a long line for the ice cream across the street, until I tried the salted caramel. Now I crave it and can't find it at home!!

Tried 5 different flavored and all were amazing. Salted caramel and roasted banana are all time favorites. We also tried seasonal flavor sesame and lavander both were worth the try and very unique. Our son tried cookie and cream and it was far more delicious than the ones outside.

Friends told us about Bi-Rite so we had to give it a try. The word is out! We pulled up to discover a line down the street. Well worth the wait. Flavors are creative, fresh and fantastic. Honey Lavender, Roasted Banana, Malted Vanilla were all faves in our group. If you love ice cream you will love Bi-Rite.

We just let our noses lead us to the creamery...saw a long line and decided if people were waiting so very patiently, the stuff must be good. And so it was! It's a small place, with ice-creams by the scoop, ice-cream sandwiches, sundaes and popsicles. You can opt for a combo, but we went for single flavours. Try their honey... More

Great flavors in both hard pack and soft serve ice cream. Nice neighborhood crowd lines up each night to get their ice cream fix.

Great ice cream. Egg nog for the holidays! We could see the velvet ropes and could imagine the line during a more popular time, but we had great, friendly, quick service. Like.

Bi-Rite is so good at what they do. Great selection of flavors with excellent quality ingredients. It's super popular for a reason and because of its popularity you should expect a line. The bottom line, it's worth the wait because these folks really know how to do things right.

Totally worth standing in line. The best ice-cream we have ever had. Better than gelato in Italy. Unique flavors, great service, fun atmosphere. Be sure to try the salted caramel flavor.

Bombay chai ice cream - what more could you ask for?! Note that their single is actually a double scoop serving.
