Even though the name of the restaurant can mislead you in thinking it's not an authentic Italian restaurant, I'm telling you it is! It's totally worth going, the food is amazing, the environment is very cozy and the service was great.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant but would caution this place is expensive! The place is small and atmospheric - only downside is that the tables are very close together although luckily we didn't have anyone next to us. We ordered the 5 course pasta tasting menu which was phenomenal and would be my no.1 recommendation to any pasta lovers. Every... More

We had a fantastic tasting menu... Great duck lasagna and impeccable wine. The space was tiny, so keep that in mind

Having heard good things about SPQR, it turned out not to be so impressive. Frankly speaking, the first course was a train wreck. In the bottom was cooked ham, smothered in various and too many things, not a happy combo at all. Things perked up with main course pasta, but not too much. Having sat at the kitchen bar for... We arrive at SPQR on a lovely street for shopping. We are seated at a table next to the window. The restaurant has a great vibe. Our waitress was open to giving us recommendations which we took. We really enjoyed the grain salad which we highly recommend for entree. The the crab risotto and the mushroom cannelloni for main were... More

Was with my hubby to try this 1-star Michelin restaurant in San Francisco's Fillmore area for dinner. We had a blast. They do have impressive Italian pasta. I am a fan of Italian cheese and they didn't disappoint me. The wait staff are knowledgeable with what the restaurant provides for from wine to pasta. It is a pricey place to... More

3.25 I stumbled upon SPQR when I craving some good Italian food. The ambiance here is definitely great. The atmosphere feels upscale and the service was great. Upon sitting, I got the octopus appetizer that contained pistachio, chickpeas, and vegetables. The piece of octopus tasted pretty good. It had a nice texture and I was just wishing I had a... More

We wanted a fancy and delicious SF experience for a night away from the kids. Quite expensive and the food just didn't meet our level of expectation. The local and frequent diner at the table next to us explained that SPQR is always pretentious and earns that reputation. What came out on the plate wasn't exactly described well on the... More

Family member with an amazing taste for food brought us to SPQR. 7 people total and we got to sit at the chef bar area. Every dish we tried was amazing. My hubby and I shared a cauliflower appetizer. It was so good. I had the pasta with uni and my hubby had the Meyer pasta with lemon. They were... More
