I had SPQR on my list for a while as I had heard good things about their pastas. It was easy enough to make a reservation for a Monday night. Nice space and we sat outside under heat lamps. Service was very attentive. But unfortunately the food didn't match. We started with a caramelized onion fish with wild rice. And... More

A warning: this review is over the top, and it still can't capture the magic. The peak moment: we went about once a month for years, and my partner brought back gifts from our trips for the staff. One day he had a brain infection and nearly died. (Long story but don't ever use Jonathan Leichtling for surgery.) I cancelled... More

One of my all time favorite dining experiences! The flavors were all spot on. If it said truffles... truffle it was. DELICIOUS! Every dish we tried was incredible.

Managed to get a solo seat at the chef's table, so interesting to see the prep for each dish. Note the chairs are a big too low for the counter. Delicious chicken liver starter served with lovely toasted bread. A lower sided serving dish with the pate would make it easier to eat. The high sided jam jar makes it... More

There are individual dishes here that are absolutely delicious but you will deal with plenty of attitude especially if you sit at the bar and the bartender tries to get you to order more and more and more and more. Disingenuous nonsense. They know their wines, the chef is very talented but it's overpriced and the pac hghts crowd is... More

I had Sunday lunch here with three of my cousins, and given that we're not high rollers and didn't order any alcohol, I'm still not sure how we ended up spending $230 on lunch. Yowza. We did get to try a lot of dishes, however, and there were definitely some high points as well as some misses. I had a... More

You really really really should come here! Promise you won't regret it. Had the pasta trio sampler and was blown away. Brilliant flavours paired to create a symphony of flavours. Really unique combinations that worked well. Excellent desserts! Good service to boot and lovely wine. Great area to have a wander around and check out the shops too.

It was a great dining experience at the chef's table in SPQR. The risotto was simple amazing and the wine list is great too. Simply go and check out.
