I took my wife there for her birthday, what a find! The food is rich and delicious. They offer homemade pasta as entrees or on the side. We both had their crab cakes, mostly crab, very little cake. They had a tasty house wine we enjoyed as well.. Not a good stop for anyone having trouble with steps, you have... More

While finding the Wine Cellar isn't easy, it is a wonderful place to take the time to find. The atmosphere is quaint and simple. Our waitress, Julian (sp?) was absolutely fantastic. The appetizer of Drunken Mushrooms was super. Our entrées, salmon w/ pineapple glaze and the scallops w/ blush sauce were fantastic! Mind you the scallop dinner could have served... More

If you love great, homemade Italian food, this is your place. If you like to find THAT restaurant run by a family who likes their patrons and is focused on you, this is the place to go. We started with New England clam chowder - made because a visitor called ahead and asked - which was the best I've had.... More

Dining in someone's basement? Seems odd at first but what a great place! The food is fantastic, very reasonably priced, and the service was awesome! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

Another place of local flavor with excellent homemade food, cute atmosphere but small. Good food but a limited menu however it's been over a year since my last visit. To me it's a place for special occasions. Not sure if children would enjoy the meal choices. The desserts and breads are to die for. Excellent choice for a special occasions.

The restaurant is in a home's basement as far as I could tell. I wasn't sure of the door until I looked on the side of the house. It is a small place but had a pleasant, unconventional atmosphere. The food was quite good. I had the flat iron steak, which was cooked to perfection. My wife had chicken parmesan,... More

We used to stay at Tunnel Inn in Gallitzin before it closed and always ate at The Wine Cellar. This was our first time back in about 5 years. And it was still OUTSTANDING! I had the Flat Iron Steak that was so tender it melted in my mouth. I have eaten at Ruth Chris' and the steak there costs... More

Advisory: It *is* home cooking - in what appears to be a private home. This is the positive, A potential negative is it's also in a real cellar, and a narrow row of steps down. I don't have a problem with this, but I know of some who would. That said, Great atmosphere, very good food for the most part,... More

This restaurant is definitely a hidden delight. Located in the basement of an established home in Gallitzin, This restaurant is a find. Food is delicious, fresh and service is great.
