Hot Pit is anything but fancy - but it is exactly what I think a barbecue should be like. A little dark, barbecue smell permeating the entire place, people sitting at tables having good - albeit loud - time, and real true barbecue food.

My BBQ chopped beef sandwich was very good, but my partner's lunch of potato salad, beef and sausage was just average at best. The slaw had too much mayo in it. No atmosphere and expensive for this type of place.
