My husband and I went for dinner and everything was great. Crab cake appetizer is a must! We weren’t starving so we split the shrimp and grits which was great because we had space for beignets. Supper fun place and we will defiantly be going...More

This is a wonderful New Orleans style restaurant serving an eclectic menu of southern dishes. We arrived a bit late (between breakfast and lunch) and as such did not encounter any wait. The establishment is decorated in a Portland, Oregon meets New Orleans, LA manner...More

3 of us had breakfast here. I was excited to see the word 'beignet' painted on the window, but they were disappointing. I was expecting something like the ones you get in New Orleans but they were dry and not 'airy' as expected. They were...More

Sorry to leave you underwhelmed. Not sure what happened with the sausage, it is usually quite moist. And while our beignets may not stack up to Cafe Du Monde's (we don't make hundreds an hour), folks seem to enjoy 'em. Hope you'll give us another...More

We had brunch at Mayfels, last Sunday, towards the end of our Asheville vacation.I'd say the wait was about 20 minutes, so it wasnt that bad. It was very crowded, our table was right next to some very loud people, but that was o.k.I had their French toast...More

Glad you enjoyed your brunch. Hopefully you can hit up the Bloody Mary bar next time!

We went here for brunch. It was not a long wait. I believe they know how to get people in and out and still have great service! Mimosas were delicious! I had the chicken biscuits, which were HUGE! I would definitely come back!

My husband and I happened by here after being told it would be an hour wait at another restaurant, and we are so happy for the redirect. Mayfel’s is an ode to the owner’s grandmother, and I have to believe grandma would be proud. The...More

"Take or leave the biscuits"?! Dang. Glad y'all enjoyed everything else so much. Come on back anytime.

Really good brunch food in a fun atmosphere and a bloody Mary bar to boot. What's not to love? Reasonable wait time on a beautiful Saturday morning. Attentive server. And the Asheville scramble with rye toast was memorable. We'll be back.

You can certainly assemble the elements of a brunch anytime from the menu. Cocktails and coffee when you want them.
