By far the best Mexican food we have had outside Mexico. Service is excellent and everything was fresh. If you don't like the bean dip, they have a 'sauces' bar on the east side of the room where you can get normal salsa, etc. To top it off, they have a frequent diner program.

This must be one of the best Mexican restaurants in North Carolina. We thought it was just a place to stop and get a decent meal on the way (East) out of Asheville, but it turned out to be really, really good. They offer everything that a Mexican restaurant should offer. They have great food, large portions, excellent chips and... More

Living in Asheville, we have lots of options with respect to restaurants. Cocula continues to be my go to place for great authentic Mexican food. Prices are great, portions are generous without being over the top and the food is always delicious. The service can't be beat. The folks at Cocula work as a team to be sure you are... More

This place gives you freaking awesome bean dip with your chips to start off with, I've never seen other restaurants do that (that I've been to) and let me tell you it was delicious. The food was great as well and the place had a cozy feeling. Their agua de horchata was great, and you had plenty due to the... More

The menu is quite extensive, with a wide selections in different meats and vegetarian dishes. Lunch specials were reasonably priced. It was not very busy when I visited. I was greeted and seated immediately. The service was quick and efficient, and the taste was good. It also has a mini salsa bar in the dining room.

Mexican food is my favorite and I've eaten at tons of Mexican joints but I won't be returning to this one. It was ok, don't let this deter you from trying it though.

Our family has been eating there since they first opened and you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a great meal. They will load you up on chips and salsa which is a plus and their soft tacos are worth coming back for.

We ordered 4 beef tacos and 4 chicken tacos all soft tacos. They gave us all hard shell tacos. The beef tacos looked and tasted like dog food. Well dog food probably has more flavor. The chicken tacos were a little better but not by much. We were very disappointed seeing as how it's supposed to be authentic mexican. The... More

We were quite surprised to find such a great restaurant in the middle of nowhere, food was very good and the prices here so reasonable. On top of that, the portions were large and service was good and fast. It truly was a pleasant surprise. We will consider this place for the future when we are around.
