Cannot begin to describe what a wonderful experience this was. The chef/owner came out to our table and talk to us before we ordered. He wanted to know if we had ever had this food. No. Were we vegans or vegetarians or liked meat? After...More

Great vegan options. Great flavor combinations. We had much fun dining Ethiopian family style. I have never had Ethiopian cuisine so I have nothing to compare to, but we really enjoyed our meal.

Food was fantastic- I had the vegetarian and meat assortment along with a Berbere Salt rimmed mango margarita.

Asheville is a foodie place but not excatly known for ethnic cuisines. So, it is a pleasure to dine at Addissae.. Ethiopian is one of my favorite cuisines since it is very similar to Indian minus the grease and the spices. The veg platter here...More

In order to get a good sampling, I recommend going with a party of 4 or more. The overall meals was OK with a few ups and downs. The Injera was nothing like any we have tried before. The bread was made with a different...More
Thank you for stopping by to try our food. If you have eaten at typical Ethiopian restaurants you will find their food heavier, more spicy and with injera that is made with a little bit of teff flour and a lot of cheap barley flour....More
One of my favorite places to eat in asheville. Owners are very nice and friendly. Food is always delicious. My family and I eat here at least twice a month. Please support this wonderful restaurant and these lovely people!
Dined here recently to try Ethiopian food. The vegetarian plate was delicious and we got used to eating without utensils pretty quickly. The injera bread is spongy but has a good fermented flavor. Only one item on the plate was very spicy, and although not...More

Our palettes were not in the best conditions, coming into Addissae. (Ahem. We were piss drunk.) Still, the quality of the restaurant -- in its food, service, management -- stood out, even into sobriety. Our server Bria (sorry, if I misspelled your name) was genuine,...More
We throughly enjoyed ourselves here. I like the artwork in the restaurant, and it's an intimate feel to it. Our server was very nice and helped us through the menu. We had never had injera (the bread used to dip into the meal) before, and...More

The inera was quite good. The service was attentive. Although I prefer spicier Ethiopian meat dishes, others in our party requested vegetarian, non spicy food. The meal was well presented and very good. There was soft Ethiopian music playing in the background. Unfortunately, there was...More
We're glad you enjoyed your lunch at Addissae. We too are frustrated by the road construction, but it doesn't impact our food or service, and folks are not too inconvenienced. Hope you stop by again. Thanks. Neeraj and Vicki
