Great service and great oysters - Do not miss this place! I am always sure that they will have fresh oysters and that is rare in the mountains. Owners are the best. I love this place!!

I had a great meal at The Oyster House last week! It was a plate of perfectly fried oysters with a wonderful balsamic vinegrette ... delicious! Good selection of local beer!

We liked the food so much that we went for dinner twice in 4 days. (We really rarely repeat restaurants on trips.) We were huge fans of the clam chowder and blue cheese fried oysters. We also really enjoyed the BOLT. Eat here and you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant for a light lunch on Friday afternoon. We would share an order of grilled oysters and an order of fresh boiled shrimp. It was never a cheap or filling meal, but it was very good and worth treating ourselves at the end of a particularly stressful week. However, since they have... More

Went to sample their beer and have oysters on the half shell--both very good (oysters are expensive anywhere-but they were worth it). Went 2 different days and besides beer and oysters on half we tried some other dishes--hamburger w/oysters, BLT w/oysters and a very good side dish of fried oysters. One negative--they had on idea how to fix greens-had to... More

We had a great meal of fries oysters and mahi-mahi. The oysters were served with a crumbles bleu cheese and red peppers. I was somewhat hesitant to try a non-conventional prep but it was great! My wife has celiac and the kitchen prepared her mahi-mahi to accommodate her. The atmosphere is loud but great. We'll return again

My first whole lobster ever! Great value and absolutely delicious! Wish I lived close by so I could repeat as often as desired... The crowd here was a mix of couples, singles, and families with kids and the atmosphere was less touristy, more local and established. With good reason - this place is all about great fresh seafood. We enjoyed... More

I was really skeptical wheb I read about oysters being used in the making of beer but decided, in the spirit of visiting "beer city", to try it. My husband and I both had the Moonstone Stout (I believe is the name- its their specialty stout) and we really really loved it. Now probably my favorite of all time and... More

We went there this summer, not long after they opened. We had the oyster sampler plate. It was delicious. The moonstone stout is one of the best beers I have ever had. The restaurant is beautiful, with great decor and a unique hand made bar with oyster shells in the surface. The bartender was really friendly and professional. After a... More
