Thirsty Monk is one of the only 'hanging' locations at Biltmore Park to us that is low key (kids, just worked out type of location). They do have some good choice of bar food including fresh salads. They have a line of craft soda for the kids. Wish that it was not order at the bar and sit because sometimes... More

I've stayed and dined in Biltmore Park many times, and knew Thirsty Monk was there, but didn't know exactly where it was. After a bit of driving around today, we found it. It's a bit unusual - there are no waitstaff, only bartenders. So you take a seat, pick out your food, and then go up to the bar to... More

Wanting good beer and traveling with a five year old don't usually work out, but today it did. There are only two options for a kid to choose from, but the grilled cheese was right up her ally. We got fish and chips- yum, and the gyro- which was okay. The service was fast and pleasant.

This is one of those great places to take a thirst, an appetite, not so much. This was a lunch venue for me on this dreary Monday afternoon. For most of the my two-hour lunch I had the place to myself, just me and the barkeep. I had three tasty brews and some really good tacos, which I highly recommend.... More

How can you not like a restaurant that serves a pint of bacon? Once someone gets a pint, several others usually follow suit, since the aroma travels quickly throughout the place. The beer is good, but a little pricey - definitely more gourmet than, say, Bud Light. The food is excellent, and my favorite is the pizza topped with beef... More

Crowd of loud patrons blocking the entrance wasn't very inviting- more like a "shewery" than a brewery. We juked by them service was speedy and the beer delicious. Eventually the vibe quietened to a pub feel and beers were enjoyed.

Service seems to have improved a bit. There was a time when I would not have been so kind in my review. That said, good service and great craft draft beers!

There is a large selection of beer, also has a bar. Bartender "big sue" was very nice and funny. Nice patio area too!
