We stopped in here after checking in at the Omni because none of the on-site restaurants were open yet. We ordered some apps and some drinks. The sangria was quite good if a little sweet. The beer selection was not very impressive. The chicken fingers were fresh and tasty. The pretzel tasted a bit stale. Overall though the service was... More

The Beantown Pub is across the street from the Commons. It is a friendly place with a number of pool tables. Always feel comfortable in there.

Upon arrival at the Omni Parker House on 12/28/16 we found there was not a bar or pub open on the premises. So we braved the cold and walked to the end of the block to the Beantown Pub on recommendation of one of the bellhops. It was crowded but we got a seat in the back room which was... More

Visited here several times for drinks and eats. Only pub in Boston where you can raise a Sam Adams beer in deference to the statue of Mr. Adams across the road in the cemetary where he rests.(Beer brewery only one of his talents) Sports bar with lots of TVs and pool tables, It is a busy place and very friendly.... Part of the Beantown Pub is a great place to have breakfast. Ziggy's. So, if you partied at the Beantown you can be revived by good coffee and excellent breakfasts - from oatmeal to omlets - served by courteous wait staff, promptly and with a smile

This place was pretty fast at getting our orders and our drinks. We ordered some hot wings and they came out pretty tasty. No complaints really. Good place to get some finger foods and beers.

Food was ok. Service was quite slow. Food was ok but fries were cold probably because they sat too long. Convenient location between sights on the freedom trail.

Stopped by for a light bite to eat. I had a pastrami sandwich which was nothing to write home about. Service was good but the food was just ok. Go to have a beer in a nice pub atmosphere but dine somewhere else.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
