Guided by my nephew, we arrived at about 7pm to a packed restaurant-no wait because we were willing to share a table with four others. The menu was extensive and I would have been overwhelmed with all the choices had not my nephew ordered. We had dumplings, Peabody greens, a lamb dish, a stew like dish with flounder and several... It was way too busy for dinner the night before. But we made it in for lunch. Staff was courteous. The leek and pork buns were very good. And the general gau chicken was probably the best I've had. Partner had asparagus and beef...another excellent dish!!!

If you want the chaos...the noise...the queues of authentic Boston Chinatown then the Gourmet Dumpling House is spot on. Swift service...immediate drinks...plates of amazing food...friendly folk around - then this place is for you. Easy to order too much but they'll box it to go no problem. Interestingly, Chinatown's jammed with all sorts of Chinese restaurants - but this was... More

and you won't be sorry! It's cramped, it's loud, the service is up and down, but the food is good. Prices have gone up a bit but you still have to wait at 12:30PM on a Saturday in winter and for good reason.

Wow, wow, wow. I've traveled to China and spent a month in the country trying the cuisine and sampling a lot of dumpling's. Let me tell you that this place is as close as you're gonna get.... in fact better than some places in China!! My fiancé and I went here one evening and ordered the flat beef noodles, soupy... More

We live in Hawaii for six years and grew accustomed to home cooked, excellence in Chinese food. This restaurant has ZERO ambiance, packed in elbow to elbow are its diners, but the food is wonderful. We came at 2 in the afternoon, usually what most restaurants would consider "after the lunch rush". Not so here. Nearly every table was filled... More

Had a early dinner yesterday with a party of nine; five of which just returned from a 3 year assignment in the Far East. Everyone thought the whole menu was terrific. Good friendly service. Menu was price fairly.

We sat right next to the fish tank. Very cozy setting, but the food was excellent. Best Fish Stew I've had at a Chinese restaurant.

As many other reviewers have pointed out, service is curt at best, rude at worst. But I really enjoyed the food. Maybe not quite as special as Windsor across the street, but enjoyable nonetheless. We ordered fried pork and cabbage buns, kim chee, some kind of cold smoked fish, steamed vegetable buns, and schezuan wontons, which was just the right... More

We were looking for a good place to have xiaolongbao--soup-filled meat dumplings. They were hot, plump and quite flavorful here. We also tried the scallion pancakes and they were fantastic.
