We popped in at 5:30 without a reservation and were going to eat at the bar, but the bartender said they did have a few tables. Given that the bar area was drafty we opted for a table. As we were being seated the hostess hit us with "you need to be done by 7." The rest of the meal... More

First the positives: excellent tasting food, attentive waiters and will get you to the show on time! Now the not so positives: bread not warmed, appetizers ( prawns, scallops) served at room temperature, only Italian wines available and cocktails but straight liquor not served and the small inner dining room held the noise level in, so hard to hear yourself... We enjoyed our dinner here so much. After a few meals at crowded ,loud "destination" spots we felt as if we had wandered into a neighborhood secret. No barn wood siding, no edison bulbs just a delightful dinner with rustic, delicious food. The carbonara was on point with a duck egg. The cavatelli was sublime, swimming in a broth of... More

We enjoyed our meal here while staying in the revere hotel just around the corner . The food was nicely portioned not too large and very tasty . The dessert of poached pear was really good . The room was quite noisy but it made for a nice atmosphere . Service was very attentive and informative about each dish.

4 of us went for dinner after my friend recommended this restaurant. The place was quite full for a week night yet we managed to get a table at late notice. The waiter was very good offering advice on the wine and the menu. We had starters, mains, desert and coffee along with one bottle of wine. My wife and... More

The service was very attentive without being overbearing. We had starters and mains; everything cooked to perfection. The sommelier, most helpful. This restaurant deserves all its plaudits, a must visit if you like excellent food and a great atmosphere.

My wife and I went to Erbaluce for dinner recently while on vacation in Boston. We had event prior to dinner so got there around 8:30. There is option to sit at bar or get table. The bar has different menu options than table. We chose table. The place is small and quaint. The server was solid - seemed new... More

It was definitely a very different kind of Italian dinner than we are used to. Our server was knowledgeable and helped steer my son from a poor choice for him. Two of us had the pork loin, two the agnolotti, and two the steak. My agnolotti was delicious and lemony, better than the crab and sweet corn soup I had... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
