Veal marsala, meatballs and grilled vegetables were excellent. Portion sizes were large, prices were great for the North End and service was excellent.

My son and I had dinner with friends from out of town. We chose this restaurant based on reviews and were not disappointed. The service was very good. The food was above average and the prices most reasonable. All in our party were pleased and would be happy to eat here again.

This place is small and very busy, so it can get crowded and feel cramped. So be sure to make a reservation, although you may still need to wait 15 minutes or so. But the food is worth the wait, and the prices are excellent given the high quality of the food. Even their bread is terrific. Calamari was delicious,... More

Very small and cramped but that's okay for an Italian restaurant. The appetizers were great especially the calamari which was fantastic the spare ribs were great as well. The pasta was good especially the broccoli rabe ravioli. Chicken parm was standard. Please note they don't have a extensive wine selection basic Italian Chianti and Montepulciano. Also there is no dessert... More

Walking down Hanover Street looking to try someplace new. While looking at the menu, another couple told us it was excellent. Unsolicited recommendation is always a plus, so we went in. Great service, big chunks of fresh bread, and outstanding classic Italian. Red sauce was delicious. A couple of tips, this restaurant is small, so could be a wait. They... More

Tried this instead of our regular haunts. It just wasn't very good. Sauce was kinda bland. Dishes were ok but nothing here to wow anyone.

Went to Panza on a sat night. By the time we arrived for our 6pm reservation the place was already full... The restaurant is very small and the table are extremely tight, but your in the north end that's to be expected.. We started off with the grilled polenta with mixed greens , excellent and the bruschetta which was the... More

The restaurant is small and you will likely have to wait but it is well worth it. The food is straightforward, traditional Italian and DELICIOUS. The prices are more than reasonable and the wine list is good. HIGHLY recommend.

We had no reservations but got there right after 4pm and were the first customers. By the time we finished the place was full with people waiting. The bread is to die for. The house salad was nothing but lettuce and considered it the weakest part of the meal. I had Chicken parm as my usual yardstick for Italian and... More

We were just arriving into the City after a 7 hour car ride. Famished! The worst part was finding a parking place on the street! But found one after about 15 minutes. We walked in without a reservation and got the last table. It was packed at 8pm on a Monday night which really says something! The restaurant is small... More

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
