This restaurant has a back door which leads into the INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL.... you can go from your hotel to the restaurant without your "fit bit" ever knowing!!! Great food and a great staff

Lobels, I am glad we triggered your alter ego with the "hidden" entrance! We will work on a S&W signal to invite you back in! Thank you for your SUPER visit! Peter Baker, General Manager, Smith & Wollensky, Atlantic Wharf More

Had lunch on a very slow Saturday afternoon. My oysters had many broken shells in it. Made for an unpleasant appetizer. Manager didn't even bother to approach the table. The french fries were soggy and the burger bites were slightly over cooked. Maybe the lunches are not as important to the Smith & Wollensky group as the dinners are.

Jonathan T, I am very sorry about your experience here on Saturday; certainly not what we are all about. We have but the one time to make that lasting impression and my apologies that we came up short of that mark. My hope is that you can see this as an anomaly and please reach out to me at pbaker@swrg.com... More

Had dinner on New Year's Eve and, as always, they live up to the perfection you expect from S&W. While we usually go to the one in the South End, we thought this might be a nice change. It obviously has more of a corporate feel to it than the historic South end location, but it still a beautiful room.... More

Attentive service, great food, window seat, & generous portions, could have been half the size & still had enough.

We lunched at the Atlantic Wharf location for my birthday today and it was overall a most memorable time. The restaurant is gorgeous with booths, high top tables and regular dinner tables surrounded by glass. We had a window seat overlooking the water. Our waiter, Julian, was exceptional. He explained the Irish American event details and was a terrific server.... More

Our second visit to a Smith and Wollensky's. This time in Boston. I wish there was one in New Jersey, but alas, we will ALWAYS seek out one when we travel. My husband had the Coco and Coffee encrusted Filet and I had the Filet Oscar! Both chef "specialties". A Tuna tartar appetizer, a side of cauliflower parmigiana and their... More

This restaurant is located overlooking the Boston Tea Party Museum. It is a large restaurant, somewhat lacking in atmosphere. The steaks were pretty good and cooked as ordered but the menu was quite pricey without any special wow factor. The service was attentive.

With so many other great steakhouses in Boston, why would anyone come here? One reason may be the personnel, but other than that, save yourself (especially when spending so much money!). I wouldn't even know where to start; had to send back a drink- 3 TIMES! Food was ok, not great by any stretch. In my opinion, not worth the... More

This is the best Smith & Wo's I've ever been. By far! It was really a memorable meal and service. The waitress was probably the best that ever waited on me. And meal, wow!!! Just fenomenal!

An actor friend of ours recommended the place. We held a business dinner meeting there and were pleasantly surprised at the decor, the great service and the quality of steaks. One colleague remarked that it was the best steak he had ever eaten. My steak was perfect!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
