Visited Boston this weekend and tried Abe & Louie's with wife and in-laws. Nice setting, exactly what a high end steakhouse should feel like, though the high noise level from the general overcrowding of tables and chairs prohibited much conversation with party and interaction with waiter. Had the wood-fired bacon appetizer (excellent) and wedge salad (excellent), but the $56 ribeye... More

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Abe & Louie's on a business trip with colleagues. Our server was great and very accommodating! Due to medication I'm taking I cannot drink alcohol, and he kindly suggested alternatives...the virgin mojito was amazing! I had the Delmonico steak and my coworkers tried the filets. Everything was delicious all the way down... More

My neighbor said I need to go here. I went with a business associate. I had the tuna and he had the fillet. We paid the main with the wedge salad, green beans and hash browns. All was great! The atmosphere was 👍Highly recommend.

One of the most popular steak houses in Boston and worth the trip. I would go back in a heartbeat. Maybe on our next trip to Boston.

For the last 12 years when we land in from England we always make sure we dine here because the ambience, service and food is absolutely wonderful. The staff are polite and very attentive but not hassling you all the time which I like. The only thing that annoyed me twice in one week was that when we ordered the Cakebread Chardonnay it... Hubby and I tried Abe & Louie's for my birthday this past Friday night and we had one of the best dinners ever. This place was great. We were seated right away upon arrival as I had made reservations. At first it didn't seem like reservations were necessary but after a little bit I was glad we had made them... More

My father in law has never ventured places so recently we have been taking him to finer restaurants, at 88. Dinner was fabulous, he had the lobster savannah and ate every bit. I had the prime rib, perfect and the wife had the chicken. Drinks were amazing. Victoria our waitress was wonderful, great conversations and very attentive!

Upon arrival we asked of it would be possible to change our table to downstairs, as we were with a baby and stroller. The hostess, Vanessa, insisted we sit upstairs and so I asked if she would be the one helping us with the stroller, as the restaurant has no elevator. She then muttered to another hostess "Frankly, I dont... More

First time I went I got the bone in filet which was smaller than I expected but outstanding. This time I got the bone in ribeye and I would probably order the bone in filet when we go back.

We were here for dinner on Christmas Day. Had a 6.15pm reservation and waited about 10mins to be seated due to the Christmas crowds. Service was excellent. Jason attended to us throughout the session. He was extremely polite and attentive, checking in on us at appropriate intervals to make sure we were doing fine. His service was the best we... More

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
