My wife and daughter love it here, but, only for the oysters. if you dont like oysters like me, then much of the rest of the menu is limited. There is not much healthy here to eat, other than a beet salad, and a fish dish. Not for those who do not like fish.

I went twice in one day to this place! First I had lunch - 6 oysters with some crab (plus Muscadet and Chablis - a glass of)! Then I brought my partner back here in the evening after some live music and drinks at the Beehive just about opposite on Tremont. We had a dozen oysters and some more crab... More

Delicious food and finger licking good, added to that the staff members were very professional and kind. One of the best in Boston!

2nd visit to this place. Good food. I got the lobster and it was delicious. The service was good and the patio was great on a cool evening. Will be back again!

No excuse for what they did to that Branzino! But let me start with the fried oysters. They were spectacular! The best fried oysters I have ever had. They were perfectly warmed through, and not over-cooked. The breading was light and crisp and not greasy at all. The home made tartar sauce was perfectly devine. I could not get enough... More

When in town, I enjoy a place with a really good oyster selection...and this is the place. The freshness and quality are topnotch. The clam chowder is also exceptional.

We went for a nice dinner before attending a show. We were overdressed. It is a trendy place with half of the restaurant being diner style seating with stools looking at the chefs in the kitchen. Rather dark and not much decor. The food could have been really good but unfortunately everything was too salty. We had the signature fried... More

We came here for lunch and had no wait for a spot on the patio. We split the fried calamari, king crab risotto and the lobster BLT. Everything was really good. I probably prefer a regular lobster roll to the BLT because the focus is on the lobster and doesn't have bacon, etc, but we had been having a lot... More

Had dinner here and enjoyed the food. The oysters were excellent, beer selection not extensive and wine was pricey. The entrees were good but more appetizer sized than an entree portion. Scallop dish had three scallops and a couple spoonfuls of lentils. Definitely not enough for a dinner, even including oysters. Overall the service and atmosphere were great but the... More

Quintessential Boston seafood. Incredibly fresh and delicious. Fantastic and knowledgeable service. I didn't know tarter sauce could be delicious.

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
