Typical pub fare. Casual dining at a reasonable price. Good food, friendly service. Popular happy hour spot for locals.

Just got into Boston, checked into the hotel and was looking for a sit down and unwind place. A pub sounded like the right place. The short rib sandwich was delicious, though a bit short on short ribs. My husband said his specialty burger was great. Can't blame the noise, it is a pub and people were celebrating. Pleasant waitress,... More

My husband and I and his co-workers ate here a few times during our 5 day stay in Boston. The pub is huge it sits in the middle of two streets with entrances on both sides and has 2 separate bars on each side. It's dark and cozy inside with lots of comfortable seating. It was great because it was... More

Ate here the first night we arrived in Boston. It was very noisy but the food was very good. Service was fine and the food arrived in a timely manner. Great for casual dining.

We had cocktails and dinner here while staying at a nearby hotel. The food was "ok", but there were some loud drunks at the bar. Not a great experience.

Only went there for drinks and service was quite poor. Beer was awful as well. Seemed to be a popular place though as was very busy but thought our server was miserable and bored. Bit more expensive than others in the area.

I was staying at a nearby hotel and stopped in for lunch. I had the pastrami sandwich which was very good. Guiness on tap was excellent. Would go back.

We wanted a meal and thought this place looked good. All four of us ordered a drink whilst we waited. Waiter asked us for ID; two of us didn't have any. So we were told we couldn't have a drink. Our total ages are over 263 years: we left!

This pub is in the same block as our hotel. We ate there several nights during our stay. Priced right, good location, good waitstaff.

The main attraction of O'Connor's was its proximity to our nearby hotel on a rainy, cold night and it did indeed have a very warm and inviting ambiance with typical pub decor or wood paneling. The menu includes the usual pub fare of fish and chips and burgers as well as other dinner items, and of course plenty of beer... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
