Bravo is the nicest of the eating venues at the Boston MFA. It is located in a bright, glass-enclosed space on the second floor of the Line Family Wing of contemporary art of the museum. We enjoyed lunch here, after a morning of strolling through current exhibitions. Service was generally good (my wife's soup arrived late, after her main course),... More

I don't know if I loved more the amazing Museum or the amazing food of Bravo. Compliments to the chef and his team. The ambient is great, the service impeccable and the food something else. Scallops melted in my mouth. The harmony (vision and taste) of the ingredients were unbelievable. A pice of art. My party also asked for a... More

We stopped in for a drink and snack after a couple hours wondering around the beautiful and huge Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The restaurant was not in half full yet the hostess told us there would be a wait... She finally seated us and we sat... and sat... and sat.... After about 10 minutes, she seated another couple... Bravo is located within the MFA. The flowers on the tables are always stupendous. The restaurant looks very modern - it is in the Linde wing; the fresh flower arrangements on each table absolutely lovely with an arrangement in a shiny copper vase - with mums, greens and kangaroo paw frons; the overall effect on many tables was slendid. The... More

Made a reservation with Open Table.... was not disappointed..The food was great and it was a good day for sitting out on the deck. We had Mussels and Scallops. Both were done well, new taste with mussels cooked with chorizo a little corn and tomatoes. Delicious the Scallops were cooked just right and topped with lobster sauce. Delectable!!

Except for our competent and friendly server, we were disappointed on just about every level at Bravo. Despite 11:30 reservations, at 11:35 the restaurant was locked with no signs of life and a sign saying it was closed. At last we and several other people with reservations were admitted with the explanation that "they were still on break," hence the... More

I went here for brunch with my son and his girlfriend, and it cost me approximately $150 for food that was not even close to being worth it. The portions were very small and underwhelming in taste, although they looked pretty.

We had a late afternoon meal when the restaurant was almost empty. Food was superb and we really enjoyed ourselves. We all had seafood and everyone loved their choices. Desserts were spectacular too.

It's quiet. It's unassuming. The food is very good indeed. We didn't have any wine, and didn't even look at the wine list. But, if you're going to spend a few hours feeding your visual senses, take a little more time and feed other senses too. It's worth it!

It makes me very sad to write this review of Bravo as it used to be my favorite restaurant in Boston. I love the ambiance, the banquettes, the lighting, the setting in the MFA, the ability to have a quiet conversation. And I used to love the food. The last couple of times we ate at Bravo were very disappointing... More

Staying in Fenway / Kenmore

Neighbourhood Profile
Fenway / Kenmore
The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.
