Great service and delicious authentic Italian food. As you dine, you'll hear the chefs conversing in their native tongue. The servers are attentive and the prices are fair. You must visit this Italian gem in Boston's North End. You may have to wait for a table, but you'll be glad you did.

Giacomo's continually delivers every time I go! I bar tend in the city and am often asked for a good restaurant recommendation in the North End - every time it's Giacomo's. We always start with the mozzarella marinara and then I get the butternut squash ravioli. Homemade, delicious, good service - what more can you ask for! Price is very... More

Visited in June 2013 and loved the experience. While we'd prefer to not have line up outside in the heat, we'd do it again in a heartbeat for this food! Besides, the line and the atmosphere is part of the experience in the North End. My husband had a papperdelle special and I had seafood with the Giacomo sauce. Both... More

Let me start by saying that I am Italian, love cooking Italian and so I tend to grade Italian places a little tougher. I'll start with the positives, the salad, the bread and the grilled veggies were nicely done. The tuna steak was cooked properly to order even though it had very little flavor. Now the bad. The line was... More

Not just perfect but beyond.... Every year we visit the southern beaches of Boston, we spend a day or two in Boston exploring and end each day at Giacomo's on Hanover Street. There is a line every night for good reason....it is that good. We tend to go early so we don't have as long a wait but even if... More

Arrived at restaurant at 5 on a Thursday and grabbed one of the last open tables in this small bustling Italian restaurant. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the daily specials which were seafood pasta dishes. Both were very good. Also had nice wine and salad. Reasonably priced for quality and area. Would return!

Thanks for the recommendation. We loved the food, energy and service in this "Little Italy" Boston treasure. Wow what fun.

There is much hype around this restaurant. Tourists such as my wife and I read about this restaurant on TripAdvisor and debate whether or not to get in line - surely it can't be that good. Well, it is. Some tips: first of all, go early so that the wait is acceptable. We went on a Monday at 5:30 and... More

What a great experience! We had to wait around 35-40 minutes, but the meal and wine was well worth it. The calamari was delicious and the caprese salad was just as good. For the main dish the homemade fusilli with REAL lobster meat and shrimp was mouth watering. This place lived up to the hype.

Staying in North End

Neighbourhood Profile
North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. Take a rest in a cafe on Hanover street and observe the quirky, European character of the North End.
