We had a nice family meal on New Years Eve. The staff was very attentive and right there when you needed them. The food is a step above usual Pub fare. They did run out of the House Signature beer that night (at 6 PM--bad...More

We enjoyed the Old 'Pubby' Atmosphere...with its Very Long Bar...huge variety of beers On Tap...and many 'mismatched' tables. And the German style menu offers Very Yummy Choices. The History of Jake Wirth's is really worth a read. Please give this Olde restaurant which serves ALL...More

I like the locale with all the history. They get a lot of tourists, so it is understandable, but the service feels 'hurried'. The menu is always the same, which is either good or bad depending on your perspective. I like having go-to items on...More

The place is adorable and tons of beers on tap--service was poor. Our waitress brought the wrong beer forgot the soup and never checked in with us. She was busy but we are easy to please. I doubt I would go back.

I have been to Jake's many times for lunch as well as dinner. Don't come here for health food and don't expect anything fancy. This is a down to earth honest place that serves old fashioned German style food. Lot's of (excellent) sausage based dishes,...More

Good food and great history lesson. Tried some of their signature cocktails and caught a football game. Friendly atmosphere - nothing fancy.

I was expecting more of an intimate pub (hotel recommendation), but we were pleasantly surprised by the different choices on the menu. The small plates were more than enough - the potato pancakes were really great, veal schnitzel with spatzle was excellent, burger sliders with...More

Good range of beer, hearty food, mostly reasonable prices, the kids will enjoy it as well. I had the steak tips - really recommend that. Clam Chowder was good too. Keep an eye out for some local flavour while you're there.

Want authentic German atmosphere with hearty food and genuine draught Bavarian bier.....well you're going to find somewhere else. Upon arrival I enquired as to what German beer was on tap that night.....I asked for a typical Octoberfest beer expecting there to be a choice of...More

Big german food/beer fan! Billed as 2nd oldest restaurant in Boston. That's cool. It has a Munich Beer Hall kind of feel but not as large. If you enjoy beer then this is the place for you!! I was not as impressed with the food....More

Yes, we did drink wine but I do not remember what kind, it was some month ago. But I remember it was OK - much better than the food!

Thank you for your question. The only dish we can make without seasoning is our burgers. All other dishes are mostly pre marinated. Please make sure to ask your server about your request when you arrive!
