My fiancee and I went to dinner at Birch Street Bistro for Valentines Day. We ordered a few things at the bar: olives, french onion soup, calamari, and then the risotto with shrimp and chorizo entree. Everything was delicious except the risotto. I *rarely* complain to the manager about my food and never intentionally write bad reviews on sites like... More

Great local neighborhood restaurant/bistro...great bar scene with friendly people. Kelly was the bar server and was fantastic, she remembers your name and very attentive to her customers. Ask her for her recommendation for special cocktails...she has her own concoctions!!

This place has a wonderfully welcoming vibe and is a neighborhood gem. They were very accommodating and attentive to my young grandchildren. The menu is varied and fairly priced, providing good value; our calamari for the table were very good, my salmon was delicious, though a bit overcooked (especially for 'medium-rare'.) There are a number of interesting wines from which... More

Came to this lovely neighborhood resto with friends on a Thursday evening, where Shorty and his bandmates played 2 sets of blues during our meal. Our party included a 3-year old who loves to dance to the live music, and she being one of their frequent guests, helped us land the round-table booth up front. The duck confit with gnocchi... More

Enjoyed another fabulous dinner at Birch Street Bistro. After a little hiccup had a perfectly cooked lamb dinner. One friend had the filet and it was tender and also perfectly cooked. The service was outstanding. The owner was attentive and quick to respond to the "hiccup". The ambiance is fantastic. One of my absolute favorite restaurants.

Beautiful summer night in Roslindale Village. We entered the Birch Street Bistro about 7pm. We noticed a long bar on the right side of this somewhat narrow restaurant, with booths spaced throughout the left side and center. Being such a beautiful summer night we requested a table outside. After a brief wait we were led out back to an expansive... More

My husband & I go here often. We love the food & atmosphere. Great spot! Unfortunately I tripped & fell on a bump on the floor by the rear door/patio. Staff & the owner did ask me if I was ok. I said I was fine - then they were gone. They didn't leave a card & ask me to... More

We went for Father's Day and were a bit disappointed in our meal. Our cocktails, a watermelon margarita and a "summer veggies" gin cocktail were bland. The watermelon was basically non-existent. The burger was good as were the crab cakes. The calamari appetizer was totally bland with no dipping sauce and heavy breading. The salmon was only so-so. We have... More
