How does grilled chicken, avocado, green beans, hot sauce, salt and pepper with cheese on a homemade roll sound to youl? Run, do not work. Consider yourself lucky if you live or work nearby.

I remember the first bite I ever had . It was about four years ago when they didn't even accept credit cards . I haven't been there in over two years . Unfortunately it wasn't as hot and melted as it used to . Felt like it was missing flavor . Not to mention prices when up by a lot... More

I have been here several times and I honestly don't think it is so good but it is not bad either. They have nice options for lazy lunch at a low price and you get your order quite fast. Their bread is good and sandwiches are quite big.

One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It has basic ingredients but when put together, it is outstanding. If you haven't had one of the original sandwiches, get there ASAP.

Chacarero is a Chilean sandwich shop and they're known for putting green beans on their sandwiches. It may sound strange and turn a lot of people off but it really just adds a bit more texture to the sandwich. Get the bbq chicken and ask for extra spicy if you like it hot. Place is packed all the time during... More

These sandwiches will change your life. I have dreamed about them since I moved out of New England, and now that I'm coming back, I am so excited to start coming here again. The spice, the avocado spread, the green beans! Harmonious symphony of flavor!!! Mm!!

Chacarero is really good! I have never tried Chilean food before, and I really liked it! Be sure to get the flan or the rice pudding for dessert. I personally loved the flan.

We were there late afternoon so it was completely empty. The cashier was great explaining the menu options and that a large sandwich would be plenty for 2 - it was. We got the combo and it was delicious. A unique flavor - kind of like a creamy chimmichurra sauce. The bun seemed homemade and everything was very fresh. Price... More

The veggie sandwich is the absolute bomb! I remember the old days where they were just a window attached to the outside of Filene's Basement in Boston. In the summer time the line would be 100 people deep or more. Well worth the wait! The small sandwich is huge and the large sandwich is even bigger! They are so damn... More

Chac was recommended to me as a nice place for a spicy Chilean sandwich at lunch. I tried the veggie sandwich with beans, red peppers and spicy sauce and found it OK and not something i'd eat too often but some of my beef eating friends do love this place. The average 15 min wait to get my sandwich in the... Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
