I was pleased to find my favorite Caramel Pecan Ice Cream in a low-carb version! Total carb count was only 4, but it tasted as good or better than other's I've had. My only regret was that there weren't more flavors that were low carb.

We stopped here on our way to the USS Constitution because we needed to get out of the heat, and I'm so glad we did! The staff was very nice, and the ice cream and root beer floats were great.

This was the best ice cream I have had in a very long time! I went with the basic vanilla and chocolate in a plain waffle cone but they were SO VERY GOOD!! Rather pricey at nearly $8 but worth the cost and every calorie. A wide variety of smoothies too.

We stopped in on our way back to our hotel Residence Inn at Tutor Wharf. I had pumpkin ice cream. It was very rich and creamy. My daughter had monster cookie (cookie dough, Oreo and vanilla) in a marshmallow waffle cone. She said it was good!

Came here after the USS Constitution visit and it hit the spot on that sunny day. Great flavors and great tastes. It was empty when we walked in and the line went out the door as we left. Wish I can go back for another...

Had the low fat 'grasshopper' ice cream on a sugar cone. Not sure what was low fat about it, because it was scrumptious! Small shop that holds about six people at a time - order and eat while walking this beautiful city.

I've been staying in a hotel behind this Ice Cream and Candy store for the past week and finally decided to crush my diet by stopping here for some candy. They have some excellent looking ice cream but I was here for some candy. Very expensive but I guess when in a big city in an expensive area you come... More

Every time, I go to Emack and Bolio's for ice cream... Just one scoop. I mean two. One of this and one of that. On a waffle cone covered in rice-crispy-treats and chocolate. With sprinkles too, please. Oh, and a few of the cashew clusters, some coconut fritter things and a half-dozen wafer cookies with caramel. That's all, thanks.

Thank Aaron T

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
