This your typical Irish pub/tourist trap/meat market bar and restaurant located near Quincy Marketplace area. Rumor has it that this place will be closing soon. Good food but rowdy crowd, sometimes including a bar fight.

While the Purple Shamrock is a good place to eat as far as the food and service are concerned, we were very disappointed to find that they have swapped out Magner's Cider for a poor tasting domestic cider.

Need a Beer on a usual hot June Boston day, then this is the place to stop. Their clam chowder is excellent and filling as is their fish and chips. Of course they have a varied menue with some good appetizers also. Next to Quincey...More

This place is ok but not one of the better Irish pubs in the area.
