My wife and I visited Neptune Oyster for a mid-afternoon lunch. The restaurant does not take reservations so we had our names added to the wait list. The staff took our names and phone number so they could call us when there was availability. We...More

We tried this restaurant, and were not disappointed!. We tried the Yellowfind Coyne crostini, the Maine Lobster roll, Oysters, it was great!.

We went on a Friday around 3pm and had to wait 1.75 hours just to get seated. We had a selection of raw oysters (all were great), a lobster roll (in butter on a brioche type bun - thin so not over powering the lobster)...More

The buttered lobster roll is perfection. Be prepared to wait unless you get there at least a half hour before opening. All the food is great, but I love the lobster roll the most. Make sure to get there on a Boston visit!

Hot lobster roll, dripping in butter.... it cannot be beat. Excellent eating and cool vibe. A must do if you are in Boston.

So, it took us nearly 4 hours to be seated. The good news is, after they took our names and telephone number, we were able to wander around the north end for a couple hours. The lobster rolls are ridiculous. Plentiful and delicious. The oyster...More

Neptune Oysters came highly recommended by friends who used to live in Boston. If you have read the reviews you know the place does not take reservations. You have to show up early, put your name in a list, and find something else to do...More

Bostonians definitely like their lines, but this one is worth it! The lobster rolls are ridiculously good, as are the oysters and everything else on the menu. Put your name down, walk some of the freedom trail and return for a wonderful meal.

Two or three hour waits to get in are common here even on weekday nights so plan accordingly. Get your name and number on the list early and they will call to give you time updates. The oyster list is very good with fresh local...More

All I can do is echo the many other reviews of this small seafood dinner. As we had been told the wait two hours but we just walked the Freedom Trail while waiting for our cell phone to ring. The place is crowded but friendly...More

North End
Wandering around Boston’s North End can feel like
being transported to Europe. Stroll down Hanover and
Salem streets for the finest Italian restaurants,
bakeries, cafes, and a few boutique shops. Take part
in the big debate as to whether Modern Pastry or
Mike’s serves a better cannoli. Before your food coma
sets in, make sure to stop by historic Paul Revere’s
home, and follow the Freedom Trail to Old North Church

I don't know for sure, but it is a very tightly squeezed space, and I really cannot imagine how a high chair could fit.

Sure, like I can really help. Did you order any Oysters, if yes what kind? Did you order a lobster roll, then with or without butter and hot or cold? Did your server have a tatoo, if yes was it fresh or an older one. Finally... More

Go early, like 4, to get on their list, then wander the North End which is fun and you will eventually be called and likely make dinner 'tween 5 - 6. It is worth the wait for sure.
