It started out a little unsteady: no Grey Goose or Saphire. Using alternatives, the drinks at the bar were very well made. Dinner was very good: several of us had the trout that as sweet and well made, one had hanger steak and one rigatoni...More

This was a lite lunch mainly to visit with a friend that I hadn't seen for more than a year. Eastern Standard is a favorite of the people with whom I work and I eat there a few times a year. On this recent visit,...More

Whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner, Eastern Standards won't disappoint. Make a reservation for dinner though! Especially turning Red Sox season! The staff is fantastic!

Have been here both for weekend brunch as well as night life visits. Their brunch is well made, flavorful and their bloody Mary's are great. The menu in the AM is a little limited. Their bartenders are great and have mixology down. Drinks are fantastic...More

One of my favorite places to eat in the BU area of Boston. The food is excellent (I had a fabulous seared salmon); my son enjoyed the baked rigatoni. It's an intimate atmosphere. We weren't rushed, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner as always.

The family went to Eastern Standard for brunch on a Saturday. They had brunch type food (French toast with bananas, smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese, eggs). But the choices were limited. While the food was tasty it wasn't spectacular. It was just good.

Excellent mimoas, service, and food. If you go you will not be disappointed! The heated patio was wonderful for a breezy Saturday morning.

I would call the restaurant. One of our party asked for gluten/free bread and was told there wasn't any. However, the server brought a little dish of some kind of cold marinated veggies that she was happy with.

Agree about calling ahead and asking. It is a very large room, but crowded. Also, check and see if there are any events occurring that date because that makes a huge difference in boston. Graduations, marathons, Red Sox... More

I suggest you call the restaurant as soon as possible. It was pretty busy when we were there but we got in because we only needed a table for 3. Arranging big parties should always be done ahead of time. Have a good time!
