Visited Stella while visiting Boston. Friends of ours who live here joined us as “this restaurant was a must”. While the food was very good, the ambience of the restaurant was quite sterile, the room temperature was freezing cold and the service was mediocre at...More

Had Sunday brunch at Stella in Boston and really enjoyed the entire experience. Chose the restaurant based on a recommendation by a friend that knew my wife needed gluten free menu options and found the restaurant to be perfect for our entire party. The brunch...More

Stopped in with a friend for a late brunch (which is served from 10 AM to 3 PM on Sundays). There are several great wines by the glass. I enjoyed the Florentine Omelet and my friend liked her Chicken Caesar Salad. The waitstaff is very...More

Four of us had dinner at Stella last night. As one of the oldest restaurants set among many dozens of newbies, we have been there many times but not recently. The food was excellent. The room itself was fine - fit a bit large and...More

I loved this restaurant. We had reservations so we were sat right away. The waiters and staff were very prompt with our drink and dinner orders. I loved the bread and the entree. I had the Tagliatelle bolognese, reggiano. It was the best I have...More

I am certain the service suffered due to Marathon weekend but this was extremely poor. Our waitress Molly seemed irritated from the beginning when we didn’t immediately know what we wanted to drink. She never returned to our table after the food arrived. Luckily the...More

We were a family of 4 and each of our dishes has way too much salt in all of our dishes. I had the shrimp scampi with tagatielle and we also had swordfish with asparagus risotto and both had way TOO much salt. Very disappointing...More

Dinner at Stella was delicious. The drinks were outstanding and the bartender and waiter were wonderful. For this "senior citizen," the room was too crowded and the noise level bordered on unbearable. It was Saturday night and the joint was jumping! I'll try brunch next...More

We had a group of 4 people and everyone was happy they ordered what they did. I got Short ribs - delicious. Others got veal parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs, and Salmon. Everyone thought that they had the best meal. It was all so good!

Very pleasant ambience, convenient location to bus lines, BU medical center. Safe area. Prices on the high side [for me], but the food is definitely worth it. Quiet for conversation. Extensive menu and wine list. Italian basic style, but eclectic menu.

God, I loved the place. It was very quiet, given the number of people who were at the bar and my friend and I had a very nice, very productive and fun conversation.
