Figaro's is a one of Boston best. Family run. Great quality. The perfect lunch place. I've never had a bad sandwich and I've been there at least once a week for nearly 2 years. That's a solid streak

I work in the city and grabbed a steak sandwich from here the other day. The owners are extremely friendly and generous. Two great qualities for business owners. The provide free bread and bakery samples which were delicious. The steak sandwich was tasty and plenty to eat. I'd definitely recommend for a lunch spot!

The first time I noticed this shop I had to pass because the line was out the door. Today, is Marathon Monday and rainy, so of course I took the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about. I ordered a sandwich that was off the menu but written on the whiteboard, the Chicken Parma Panino! I typically get... More

My family and I (two sons ages 8 and 5) caught wind of this little gem of a sandwich shop having watched the the family compete against themselves on Chopped. We thought it would be a hoot to bring the boys, who so enjoyed the episode, on an excurision following our morning at the Children's Museum. The restaurant is located... More

I came upon this restaurant by accident and was I lucky. I had an appointment in the area that had concluded early and was looking to get a cup of coffee while waiting for my ride. I happened upon this just around the corner. It is small, but quite nice. I had a breakfast sandwich of fried egg, cheese, sausage,... More

Best sandwich in Boston. Rosie is the culinary goddess and her family is wonderful. Is there a line…sure…because it IS the best sandwich in Boston. Figaros has some amazingly creative specials including the Bob Marley and the Porchetta (pork loin). If you want the best buffalo wrap in Boston visit on a Thursday and get the Whitey special. Still the... More

Wonderful, generous family treats you like their own. Daily specials are just unbelievable. Imaginative, eclectic, delicious. The "regular" menu is filled with fabulous combinations. Never disappointed. Great music to pass the time while waiting in the ever moving line while each order is prepared. Well worth the wait. Try the best sandwich ever - The Fellini.

It's too crowded and the line is intertwined so it gets hectic. The layout of the restaurant is bad, but the service and food are decent. It's close to $10 for a tuna sandwich but its so big that it lasts for two meals so that makes the price seem better.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
