Reasonable prices. I had a pasta dish with bowtie, chicken and broccoli. What I was disappointed in was basically no sauce, very dry. Husband had a seafood risotto dish with plenty of sauce and he enjoyed his, so maybe mine was a mistake.

Stopped in here for breakfast about 8 AM while waiting on a contractor. Just wanted something nice and not too trendy. It was clean and nicely appointed. Got a nice welcome from the single staff at the counter. I ordered a egg, ham, bacon, cheese panini on a ciabatta? Was informed that they did not have any ham. I ordered... More

I was looking forward to French croissants and coffee. I got that, along with attitude from the worker. She just acted as if we were bothering her. The almond croissant was amazing and fresh. My husband's orange juice was so bad that he threw it out and got one at the 7-11 nearby. This is a great place for fresh... More

Cute little cafe near Petco Park and Hotel Indigo where I stayed. I had an Iced Chai that was thick, sweet and flavorful and a customized Croissant with ham, fresh mozzarella (instead of Cheddar) and Fig jam (instead of mustard aioli). I also got a free salted caramel macaron with Yelp check in! The lady was very sweet and accommodating... More

My family and I went to Comic Con this year, and after walking and having a good time we were looking for a place to relax for a while. Luckily, we found Cafe de L'Opera nicely tucked into a convenience store and another building. Once inside, we were greeted and invited to enjoy the warm atmosphere that complemented the decor.... After spending nearly an hour trying to find a place for a decent croissant and macaron in San Diego, this seemed like just about the only place that fit the bill. I arrived around 8:00am for breakfast to find one diner, empty shelves and cases and about 3 macarons left over from God knows when. When I asked if they... More

We find our way to San Diego once or twice a year. We always make plans to go here and never have had a bad experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive the food is fantastic. Call and make reservations though, we are not the only people who know about them. I have noticed that even when the surrounding... More

Just on the fringe of the Gaslamp, this little cafe is big on taste, flavor, ambiance, and service. Unlike the corporate food mills a block to the west and south, this place makes meals with skill, passion, experience, and imagination. Food pairings are traditional and interesting at the same time. Pasta is executed with perfection, as are the lovely sauces.... More
