Enjoyed outdoor seating and great service. All of us tried different seafood dishes and all were fresh and tasty. Really liked the mussels and fried Brussels sprouts too!

Had the halibut; friend had lobster. Everything seem expertly cooked and presented. Very, very loud so it is good place to go if you want to feel festive.

Wonderful food. I had the special which was swordfish - very nicely prepared. Shared the fried Brussel sprouts with my wife which were excellent. My wife is vegetarian - so not a lot of options, but she really enjoyed her salad with beets and goat cheese. Excellent apple crumble for dessert. Service was great and they even had the World... We sat at the bar and ordered a nice variety of oysters. Very well presented and the server took the time to explain the various varieties, and in which order to eat them. We also shared the lobster bisque, the goat cheese salad, and the chocolate lava cake. Everything was very delicious. The drinks were well mixed, and properly served.... More

It’s always iffy to take a client out to dinner in another city and to a restaurant you chose from reviews like this. The Blue Point Coastal Cuisine appeared to fit the bill to have dinner with someone I’d never met, but needed to impress. I recommend reservations as you and your guest will be greeted by name and as... More

We were lucky to stop in for an early dinner during restaurant week in San Diego. The table d'hote I ordered was lobster bisque, salmon and apricot dessert - very nice and a reasonable price. My wife had crab cakes, mussels and shrimp and the lava cake - also very nice. The menu itself is quite extensive but a little pricey.... More

Senior citizen talking other seniors: On a recent rip, I ate at four happy hours in the Gaslamp Quarter and this was the best. Convenient location, felt very safe walking down the street. Very nice ambiance, music wasn't too loud, well-managed and very courteous and helpful bartenders, excellent $1 oysters (from Baja California one day and Morro Bay the next),... More

I recently at this wonderful seafood restaurant in the gas lamp district. The is a great raw bar with a wonderful selection of oysters. I had a seafood Paella was large and plentiful, but a bit on the dry side in that some of the seafood was dry and a bit overcooked. The wine list was ok but pricey for... More
